Work, payments and holidays

Netherlands

The au-pair is required to work maximum 30 hours per week, no longer than 8 hours per day.
   
The host family pays the au-pair € 340, -- pocket money a month.
   
The au-pair is entitled to 2 full days off per week and 2 full weekends off per month. (Friday evening until Monday morning)
   
The au-pair is entitled to 2 weeks paid holidays per 12 months (this is excluding the family’s holidays. When the family chooses to take a holiday, the payments to the au-pair will continue)
   

On Public Holidays the au-pair should have the opportunity to participate in cultural and religious events, festivals and other activities together with other au-pairs or friends in general, stimulating the exchange program she is taking part in. If however the Host Family wants to request a helping hand with the children, this should be mentioned to us in advance.


New Zealand and Australia


The au-pair is required to work maximum 40 hours per week. The hours will very with every family.
   
The host family pays the au-pair between $ 150 - $ 200 pocket money per week.
   
The au-pair is entitled to 2 full days off per week and 2 full weekends off per month. (Friday evening until Monday morning)
   
The au-pair is entitled to 4 weeks paid holidays per 12 months. When the family chooses to take a holiday, the payments to the au-pair will continue)
