





| • | Au-pairs coming from the European Union** or Switzerland do not have to apply for an Entry Visa and/or a Residence Permit and can travel and stay in The Netherlands freely. |
| • | Au-pairs coming from America, Australia, Canada, Japan, Liechtenstein, Monaco, New Zealand and Norway can travel freely to The Netherlands and do not need an Entry Visa, but they are only allowed to stay in the Netherlands for no more than 3 months; therefore, they must apply for a Residence Permit at their local city hall in the first 3 months together with the host family, but we strongly advise to do this as soon as possible to ensure a 12 month stay. |
| • | Au-pairs coming from all other countries must apply for an Entry Visa before travelling to the Netherlands. After receiving it, they can travel freely to the Netherlands. They must apply for a Residence Permit at their local city hall in the first 3 months together with the host family, but we strongly advise to do this as soon as possible to ensure a 12 month stay. |
